Even though the meaning of song titles is not always literal and often don’t correlate to the actual lyrics, they’re the first thing we come across when choosing a song and it’s interesting to see how so many artists choose food to be the gatekeeper of their tune. I decided to take the meaning of those song titles quite literally and playfully observed the different patterns that started to emerge. How artists seem to have a sweet tooth, how fruits are clearly a great source of inspiration, how some genres are more present that others and so on. I decided to extract all sorts of data from this list and create a visualization to highlight those patterns.
